The Big Problem
The big problem when you delete your Epic Games account is that there is no automatic way to do it. If you check out the Epic Games page, you’ll notice that you only have the option to email the company to delete your account.
Unfortunately, that email address isn’t really checked at this point; you probably won’t get a response, and even if you do, the company is unlikely to delete your account.
Finding a Workaround
If you really want to delete your account, you need to use a specific form. Instead of searching the site, just go here.
From there, you can use a support form, one that actually gives you the option to delete your account. Make sure to select your Epic Games account from the drop-down list and use the email address you used to create the account.
You can choose to delete your account, but you must also indicate in writing that you want your account to be removed from the service. After that it’s just a matter of waiting.
Deactivating Your Account
Unfortunately, you may have to wait for quite some time. Players can wait between two and five weeks, depending on the time of year and the player’s location.
If you don’t receive an email, it’s best to call Epic directly. You will have to search a bit to find the relevant number in your country, but it is often the best way to contact a human and get the information you need to delete your account.
Epic has not made it easy for you to delete your account. If you want it to disappear, you have to fill out a form and play the waiting game. If that doesn’t work, you’ll have to harass Epic until the company complies.
However, whatever you do, keep in mind that deleting your account will take a long time.
