Fortnite is a great game, but it is quite prone to errors. While some make a lot of sense, others are a bit more mysterious.
One of those errors is Error 93, which happens seemingly randomly and can make it too difficult to play with your friends.
What is Error Code 93?
Error code 93 is a fairly common bug in Fortnite. You usually see this popup code when you try to join a friend’s party.
It’s enough to keep you from gambling and wasting some time, but it’s far from the worst mistake out there. However, it is a problem that you want to fix as soon as possible.
And if you’re frustrated with your gaming experience being interrupted for no apparent reason, you’re certainly not alone.
Fixing Error Code 93
The biggest problem with troubleshooting error code 93 is that it’s really hard to pinpoint exactly why it’s happening. It could be a problem on your end, it could be a problem with your friend, or it could even be a server problem.
However, there are some solutions you can try to fix the problem.
Change Your Skin
There’s no particularly good reason why this should work, but it’s been shown to be one of the best methods to fix the Error Code 93 message. If you want to play a party with your friend, you need to switch to a new mask.
You must first log out of Fortnite and then log back into the game. Once you’ve done that, you can go to your locker and pick literally every other aspect of your inventory.
From there, head back to the Solo Queue and join your friend’s party; In most cases, this should be enough to get you back in the game.
Use Your Epic Friends List
For some, using the party feature in the game is often the problem. Instead of relying on your connections in the game, you can rely on the connection through Epic.
However, this only works if you weren’t friends yet, so skip this step if you already have this person on your Epic friend list.
Doing this is easy. Log in to your Epic account on PC and add the person you want to play with as a friend.
Once your friend agrees, you should be able to join the in-game party without any errors.
Try a Public Lobby
If the first two steps failed, you can try skipping the party invite step altogether. You can even change your lobby to allow people to join your party without inviting them by making it public; This can be a big step, especially for those who don’t like playing with strangers, but it’s a good way to get around the bug.
To do this, you need to log in and go to Settings. From here you can go to the Lobby menu and set it to Public.
Once you’ve done that, everyone should be able to join your party without too much fuss.
Look at Server Issues
If all of these steps fail, it is very likely that you are seeing a server-side issue. Check the server status and then check various online forums to see if other people encounter the same error.
If this is the case, all you can do is sit back and wait for Epic to sort things out.
As you can see, there are many ways to correct error message 93 and error code 20006. Follow these steps one by one and make sure to keep track of what you can do.
For most, the error is temporary and you can play again sooner than expected.
