If you play Fortnite on your Xbox console, it’s a good idea to link your account to an Epic Games account. It allows you to merge existing accounts and share new skins, gadgets, seasons, unlocked content and cross-platform purchases.
There are two ways to link your Xbox One and Epic accounts, and which one you choose will depend on where you started playing Fortnite. Make sure pop-up windows are enabled on your computer before connecting accounts.
Connect Game Progress On Xbox One to Epic Account
If you have an existing game on your console, but have not yet created an Epic Games account online, please visit Epicgames.com and click ‘log in’. When the site asks you whether you play Fortnite or not, select “Yes”.
Choose the Xbox icon and a pop-up window will appear asking you to sign in to your Live account. Once you’ve done that, fill out the Epic Games form that appears.
Validate the account using the email address you provided and the progress you made on the console will now connect to your Epic account.
Connect Game Progress On Epic Account to Xbox One Console
If you already have an Epic account for PC, iPhone or Android and want to link your existing game progress to an Xbox One console, visit Epicgames.com and sign in to your account. Hover over your display name and click “Account.”
Click “Connected Account” and choose “Connect” under the Xbox icon. When the pop-up window appears, click on ‘Link your account’.
Another pop-up window will appear, where you log in with your Live account and confirm the connection.
You can link Epic games across multiple platforms and consoles through an Epic account, including Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Twitch, and Github using the same process above and select the appropriate platform or console when prompted.
